Jamie O'Rourke is lazy. His wife, Eileen, works diligently while he lies in bed all day. When his wife wrenches her back, Jamie is worried. No Eileen means no one work and no food! On his way to confession (because he is sure he will soon die of starvation!), he encounters a leprechaun who gives him a potato seed. The leprechaun promises the seed will grow into the biggest pratie in the world! Jamie, his wife and the whole town are in for a big surprise!
A humorous, fun book!
I read this aloud to my nine year, and he has read it several times to himself since then!
