The Money We'll Save by Brock Cole*

Ma sends Pa to the market in New York City for some flour and two eggs and instructs him not to purchase anything else.  Pa resists several enticing offers but does buy a turkey poult.  His reasoning?  If he and his family fatten up the turkey, they will save money on Christmas dinner.  Predictable but humorous events result from raising a turkey in a tenement! 
My boys and I enjoyed this entertaining story.
