A Mathematical Folktale from India
A greedy raja refuses to share his stored rice with his people during a famine/drought. A clever village girl, Rani, however, outwits him and teaches him a lesson in kindness.
A wonderful book to share in conjunction with math and problem solving.
The illustrations are beautiful.
I read this aloud during History as we studied Ancient India.
*Highly recommend.
-Borrowed from the library.
