Austin, Lost in America by Jeff Czekaj

Austin, a pet store dog, is not selected time after time.  So he decides to leave the pet store and find his own home.  His search takes him around all of the 50 states where he (and the reader) learn fun facts about each state.  Where will he find a home?
The book divides the United States into four regions and a small map of the featured region is in the upper right hand corner.
My boys really enjoyed this book (especially my 3rd grader who is learning about the states right now).
