Mr. Lucado takes the prayers from the Bible and "distills" them into a simple prayer (pg. 7):
"Father,
you are good.
I need help. Heal me and forgive me.
They need help.
Thank you.
In Jesus' name, amen."
Then he discusses what each of these lines means and how it relates to our prayers.
In a simplistic manner yet with beauty and depth, Mr. Lucado helps all readers examine their prayer life and reveals where to improve.
The book is quite short (100 pages). The study guide and the an evaluation of prayer strengths comprise of fifty-nine pages.
