This book depicts how a modern day crop farmers (think CSA, farm stand) put the farm to bed.
As they prepare for the winter winds, frost and snow, they reminisce about spring, summer and fall's bounty. The open-spread pages display the contrast between month of bounty vs. the winter prep.
I absolutely loved this book! It pairs nicely with the "know where your food comes from" movement. My sons did not find it as intriguing (maybe because it is all too familiar to them!!).
