Dear Peter Rabbit by Alma Flor Ada illustrated by Leslie Tryon*

My eight year really enjoys the books in this series.
The book format is unique.  The plot is exposed as folk tale characters write letters to each other.  One plot is the three pigs are trying to host a house warming party but the wolf keeps on blowing down their houses!
Very clever and creative book!
Teaching idea: I used this book and the others in the series in my classroom as a reader's theater and also to model how to write a letter (the format).
