Rocket diligently collects items for his 100th day of school.  His new friend squirrel permits him to store the items in his home.  When the 100th day of school arrives and Rocket collects his items, the five acorns are missing.  Hmm.  I wonder what happened to them?  How will Rocket find five more items quickly?

A very simple book with bold photographs.  This books shows how to count to 100 by 1's, 2's, 5's and 10's.  It is simple enough for a first grader to read (beginning/transitional reader).
Great for the 100th day of school.

Jake has been working diligently on his 100th day project.  On the morning of the 100th, he forgets his project at home.  His understanding principal helps him out . . .plus Jake brings in a special guest to his classroom.
Very sweet!

100 Snowmen by Jen Arena illustrated by Stephen Gilpin

A great book to use for the 100th day of school.
In rhyming text, the author shares how more and more snowmen come into the scene.  Adding equations are also on every other page.  On the final page there is one long equation adding all the numbers up to equal 100.
I think the snowmen could have looked slightly cuter!

Ready, Set, 100th Day! by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace

Another fun yet informative book by Ms. Wallace.  Minna has to create a project that portrays the number 100 for her 100th Day celebration at school.  After a lot of thought, she comes up with creative idea.  Mathematical concepts like counting by 5's, 10's , 20's, 25's, and 50's are shown.  Readers can find 10 groups of ten in Minna's  poster.
