Outcast by Rosemary Sutcliff

I had my 11 year old read this book to himself this summer to support our last history unit.
Beric, an infant on a Roman trading ship, is ship wrecked on the coast of Britain.  A British tribe raises him, but dispose of him when his heritage interferes.  He is left alone to survive.
My son really enjoyed this book and said that I should read it!
