I am a big fan of Tasha Tudor and loved her illustrations in this book.
A cat is abandoned by a family and is enduring a brutal snow storm in the woods. A man riding on a sled pulled by horses enters the deep forest to feed the wild creatures and sees the cat. He knows just the home for the cat and gives two brothers a wonderful Christmas.
