My eight year old son read this to himself and loved it. He says the book has similes, metaphors and idioms in it.
Hurricane Elmer is plowing into Stink's town. The Moody family gathers in their home (including Grandma Lou) to wait out the storm to share stories and to make memories. Then the electricity goes out!
Warning: My son mentioned that the family uses an Ouija board and they discuss ghosts.
