Bat and the Waiting Game by Elana K. Arnold illustrated by Charles Santoso*

My eight year old and I love this newer series.  He read it first to himself.  I had to wait for him to finish it before I could enjoy it!
Bat, who is Autistic, must adjust to after school changes.  Because his sister Janie has play practice, he must stay at his new friend Israel's house two afternoons a week.  As he negotiates the new schedule, he learns a lot about being a friend, saying sorry and thinking of others.
A very sweet book.
*Highly recommend.
Points to discuss: Autism, parents are divorced
