Mother (Goose) Bruce by Ryan T. Higgins

Bruce, a very grumpy bear, rarely likes anything.  But he does like eggs and trying different recipes to prepare them.  One day he comes across a recipe for boiled goose eggs.  Imagine his surprise when the eggs hatch and suddenly, he is not a foodie but a caregiver!

Mr. Higgins incorporates humor that only adults may appreciate-("local beehive-liked to support local business", "free-range organic", "mistaken identity" , "her return policy").

My third grader thought this book was funny and liked it.
