The Magical Ms. Plum by Bonny Becker illustrated by Amy Portnoy

Every student in Springtime Elementary know there is something unique about Ms. Plum and her classroom.  Students who were fortunate enough to have her as a teacher found that when they tried to explain the magical things that happened in her classroom, the words would  not form or the few words that were uttered do not even begin to describe the event.
The magical spot in her classroom is the supply closet.  Whenever a student enters the closet, he or she reappears with an animal.  This animal then helps the child overcome an ongoing problem or detrimental attitude/character trait.
Readers who like Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle books will enjoy this one.
Borrowed from the library.
Grade Level Equivalent: 4.2
Strategy: inferring
