My eleven year old read this book to himself.  Below is his summary:
"Morgarath builds a bridge across the fissure.  Will, Evanlyn and Horace find the bridge and destroy it.  Will and Evanlyn are captured by Scandians sailors. The final battle with Morgarath begins."
Warning: swearing-"h" and "dn" (The library has it labeled "young adult" which sometimes indicates concerns like this one.)
My son loves this exciting adventure series!
