Years ago I first read about Detective Pinkerton in a book written for teens so I was thrilled that Ms. Moss has written a picture book to inform younger readers of this historical figure. She shares a bit of information about his life in Scotland and how he began his detective agency but the majority of the book focuses on how he saved Mr. Lincoln's life as he traveled to Washington D.C. for his inauguration.
