Miracle on 133rd Street by Sonia Manzano illustrated by Marjorie Priceman

Jose and his family are adjusting to life in a colder region and in a teeny apartment.  Mami (Jose's mom) longs for Puerto Rico and its warmth and vastness.  When their traditional Christmas Eve roast does not fit in the small oven, Mami has had enough!
Jose and Papi come up with a solution to Mami's predicament.  As they lug the roast out of the apartment, it seems like the entire apartment building is in need of Christmas joy.  Can they solve this bigger, more important issue?
A wonderful book to celebrate togetherness and joy!
**Discuss what exactly was the miracle in the story?
